Tui Na (Chinese Medical Massage)

Tui Na

Tui Na (pronounced "twee nah", literally means push and grab) is a form of Chinese Medical Massage, often combined with acupuncture, Moxibustion and cupping therapies and is an integral part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Tui Na uses rhythmic compressions, techniques and manipulations along the Meridians to stimulate acupuncture points and to harmonize the balance of Qi, allowing the body to heal itself naturally.

Tui Na affects the flow of Qi (energy) in the body directly. Tui Na’s intention is more specifically therapeutic, as it has the ability to focus on specific problems, especially chronic pain associated with the muscles, joints, and the musculoskeletal system.

Tui Na is a sophisticated medical massage that works with the energy of the body at a deeper level and treats injuries, musculoskeletal problems and internal disorders. It's especially effective for joint pain such as arthritis, sciatica, muscle spasms, and pain in the back, neck, and shoulders. It also helps chronic conditions such as insomnia, digestive disorders, headaches/migraines, stress and more.
